It's warming outside and I just ordered the replacement part I've been searching the EARTH AND INTERWEBS for since the fall. Stupid Neutral Safety Switch.
I seriously cannot wait for it to get warmer out so I can take the Montego out of hibernation.

Oooh, somebody needs a safety switch on his shifter. Send the waaaambulance.
Joking, as sometimes keeping things original-ish trumps whether a thing is necessary.

dude you are still dealing with that NSS. If I come out there in May and it is still screwy you are gonna get a nice starter button screwed into the middle of your dash :)

I've been told by about 300 people to just hard wire the damn thing lol
I don't know why I want certain things to be original on it giving I've swapped parts for performance already. I think I just want it to be able to go back to all original real easy if I wanted to or if I sold it down the line.
Oh also the shifter doesn't have much hold to it and can slide in/out of gears pretty easily. And with a little guy it's not a bad idea to have a back up to make sure it doesn't start moving when it shouldn't.
Sidebar- kick ass ambulance.

AHHHH
i hate starter buttons. I like a KEY.
It's not like it hasn't started this whole time, I just turn the key to "on" and then jump the power on the solonoid under the hood with a screwdriver to get it going.
Most Jalop way to start it ever?

only if you also had to use a hammer

DAMN so close!
Honestly if this part doesn't fit and I send it back I'm hard wiring it. It's a really simple re-wire and I will if I have to.
When you get here in may I promise the key will start the car lol (things I never thought I'd have to promise)

No, the most Jalop way to start it ever would be jumping the starter button switch on a car with no solenoid on the starter, finding that it's the starter lead and not the switch, then deciding to crank-start it.
